The National Weather Service has issued an Extreme Heat Warning through Friday August 28th for the Las Vegas and Lake Mead area. Visitors should limit outdoor activities on land within the recreation area, drink plenty of water, and be alert for symptoms of heat illness including thirst, heavy sweating, muscle cramps, weakness/dizziness, headache, and nausea. Anyone experiencing these symptoms should move indoors in air conditioning immediately.
