- CautionLees Ferry Campground Partial Closure
The upper loop of the Lees Ferry Campground is closed through September 30th for renovations. Large equipment will be paving at the Lees Ferry campground. Upper loop construction will continue until September 30, 2026. Do not enter construction area.

Any time that you do recreational activities (swimming, water skiing, making sand castles, etc.) on the beaches or in the waters of Lake Powell you are strongly encouraged to follow basic hygiene practices. A number of conditions can cause potential water quality issues on Lake Powell, at Lees Ferry, and on Colorado River tributaries.

- Dam TalkSun Aug 23 2026Programs are located inside the Carl Hayden Visitor Center at Glen Canyon Dam. The dam is located on the Colorado River near page Arizona on Hwy 89.
- Evening Programs at Wahweap AmphitheaterSun Aug 23 2026The Wahweap amphitheater is located in the Wahweap Campground, across from the campground store. From the intersection of Lakeshore Dr and Wahweap Dr, go straight for about 1000 ft, then turn left at the "Wahweap Campground" sign. This parking lot also hosts the RV dump station.
- Hanging Garden Guided HikeThu Aug 27 2026The trailhead for Hanging Garden is on a dirt road just south of Glen canyon Dam on Hwy 89. Park your vehicle at the trailhead to begin the hike. Please do not block the road.
- Astronomy Nights at Wahweap AmphitheaterFri Aug 28 2026The Wahweap amphitheater is located in the Wahweap Campground, across from the campground store.
