Due to the continued fire danger in Southern Oregon, Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve has instituted a full fire ban. To ensure public safety and to provide the highest degree of protection to park resources, the Fire Ban prohibits Campfires. Wood and charcoal fires are NOT allowed in Oregon Caves National Monument and Preserve.

Travelers using Highway 199 between Crescent City and Cave Junction should expect multiple traffic delays beginning as early as May due to ongoing Caltrans construction. For the most current delay and closure information—including upcoming four‑hour full closures—please check the Caltrans District 1 Road Information Bulletin for updates and follow their social media channels.
