The areas affected include... Coastal waters from Bonita Beach to Englewood FL out 20 NM... Coastal waters from Englewood to Tarpon Springs FL out 20 NM... Tampa Bay waters... At 304 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated strong thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots. These thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 16 nm northeast of Venice to 24 nm east of Siesta Key to 34 nm southeast of Hillsborough Bay, moving northwest at 25 knots.

Mariners can expect gusty winds to around 30 knots, locally higher waves, and lightning strikes. Boaters should seek safe harbor immediately until these storms pass.
