The Church Loop Trail in the Thurmond area of the park is temporarily closed due to downed trees.

The Rend Trail is closed for trail Improvements that will include a new parking area, restroom, and a small picnic area overlooking Arbuckle Creek at the Minden trailhead, structural improvements to five historic railroad trestles along the trail, and full trail surface rehabilitation. Additionally, construction of a large accessible ramp over the ‘big rock’ will replace a stairway, resulting in the only fully accessible earthen surface trail located within the park.

The Cunard road is currently closed due to multiple slides, Brooklyn Campground is closed due to closure of the Cunard Road, Nuttallburg road is closed due to a washout. All closures are weather related.

From June 15 through November 19 the upper part of the Kaymoor Miners Trail (from Kaymoor Top down to the mine site at the junction with the Kaymoor Trail) will be closed Monday through Thursday due to a trail rehab project. The trail is expected to be fully open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Most trails are open and ready for the public. Those that remain closed are the Charleston Road/ Goudey Trail past the Cherokee Path and the portion of Cherokee Path between the stockade fort and the Charleston Road.

Until further notice, the gate at Hozomeen will remain closed; vehicle and foot traffic across the US/Canada border is prohibited. Visitors must enter through a designated port of entry.

Effective Monday, June 29, campfires or the ignition of wood, briquettes, or any fuel in fire pits, fire pans, and barbeque grills, are banned in all portions of North Cascades National Park Service Complex, which includes North Cascades National Park, Ross Lake National Recreation Area, and Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.. This applies to anything that produces ash, including charcoal grills. Propane fire pits are not allowed during the ban.

Visitor and recreational opportunities continue to be available in the Stehekin Valley. Some services are limited at the Stehekin Landing following flood damage in December 2025.

Skagit River Marblemount Bridge will be closed overnight for repairs August 24-September 4, Monday night-Friday morning, 8 pm-4 am. There is no access to Cascade River Road during the nighttime closure.

Decking replacement is underway at Lilly Bluff Overlook and is expected to take about six weeks. The overlook will remain open, but some sections will be temporarily closed as repairs are completed.

Due to structural issues, the boardwalk along the river trail is closed until further notice. Access to the Ocmulgee Heritage Trail and river is not available due to this closure. This closure does not affect access to any of the mound sites.

The Oklahoma City National Memorial Museum, Outdoor Symbolic Memorial, and Book Store will remain open during the construction of Foreward - a new Chapter of the museum. Visitors will enter through a new entrance on the southwest corner of the building. A temporary Visitor Experience Center has been placed near the museum for visitors to purchase tickets and browse Memorial merchandise. Mora Road is closed to all traffic, including bicycles and pedestrians, at the campground. Rialto Beach is not accessible via Mora Road during this construction period. Mora Campground is open. This construction work will repair damage from a severe winter flood event, fortify the road against river migration, and protect long-term access to Rialto Beach.

South Shore Road – which is maintained by Jefferson County – is closed due to a major wash-out. For more information, visit the Jefferson County website.

Lengthy delays are likely at the Hoh Rainforest entrance station between 7:30 AM - 5 PM. Plan ahead for a 1-3+ hour wait. When the parking lot fills, traffic is metered at the entrance station. Bring what you need for a long wait, and be mindful of not blocking entrances to businesses or homes along the road.

Travelers using Highway 199 between Crescent City and Cave Junction should expect multiple traffic delays beginning as early as May due to ongoing Caltrans construction. For the most current delay and closure information—including upcoming four‑hour full closures—please check the Caltrans District 1 Road Information Bulletin for updates and follow their social media channels.

The following roads are temporary closed: West Border Road (Roosevelt Reservation) from the Lukeville Port of Entry west to Quitobaquito Springs, South Puerto Blanco, North Puerto Blanco/South Puerto Blanco Connector Road from the intersection of the North Puerto Blanco/Pozo Nuevo intersection south to South Puerto Blanco, Senita Basin Road, East Border Road (Roosevelt Reservation) from the Lukeville Port of Entry east to the Santa Rosa Mountains, and Camino de Dos Republicas. The National Park Service is imposing a temporary closure of Farmington Landing. This temporary closure is necessary to provide for visitor safety during a comprehensive rehabilitation project to restore park resources and improve the visitor experience. Work will include resurfacing the parking lot, replacing parking barriers, replacing trash cans with new wildlife-proof trash cans, and installing new fishing rod holders.

As of January 1, 2025, ALL developed campsites will be available through reservation ONLY. These include Pulltite, Round Spring, Alley Spring, Big Spring, Two Rivers, and Akers. Reservations must be made through recreation.gov (online or by calling).

The parking lot for the Round Spring Pavilion and for Round Spring itself is CLOSED for the remainder of the 2026 summer season while the low water bridge over Spring Valley Creek is rebuilt. Alternative parking near Round Spring Group Campsites 4-8 will provide trail access to the north side of Round Spring.

Paving work is being done throughout Ozark National Scenic Riverways during the 2026 summer season, including at Alley Spring, Round Spring, Pulltite, and Big Spring. Watch here and on our park Facebook page for updates, as roads and campground loops may close and reopen depending on work progress.

The lower river landing at Round Spring, located in the campground, is closed until further notice for paving. Floaters putting in or taking out at Round Spring should plan to use the upper landing behind Carr's Store.

4-wheel drive is recommended if driving on North and South Beach.

Beach conditions are changing frequently. Check current tide charts and weather forecasts before traveling on the beach.

Paterson Great Falls National Historical Park is located at 72 McBride Avenue Extension, Paterson, NJ 07501. Use this full address when searching using a GPS device or map app or use GPS coordinates N40.91533° W74.17992°

The park parking lot at 72 McBride Extension is open from dawn to dusk every day. Any vehicles left in the parking lot after dusk (i.e. sunset) are subject to towing at owner's expense.

Taxi and ride-share services are often not available in Pecos. Even if services like Uber and Lyft will bring you here, it can be very difficult to secure a ride out. Please ensure you have a departure plan in place before being dropped off at Pecos.

The Plazas, Rotunda, and the Observation Deck of the Memorial will be inaccessible for the 2026 and 2027 seasons due to the Upper and Lower Plaza Rehabilitation. The visitor center and grounds will remain open. Thank you for your understanding.

The Painted Desert Oasis gift shop, gas station and restaurant located at the north entrance of the park are open, and restrooms are available during construction. Visitor center operations are currently located at the Painted Desert Inn, two miles past the entrance station.

DO NOT drop off your passengers at the visitor center. No trail access. Visitors must be driven to a trail system from the visitor center. If passengers want to go to the visitor center, WAIT FOR THEM in the parking lot until they come back out.

Bicycles are ONLY allowed at the following locations: 1 - On the Boca Negra Canyon paved multiuse path; bicycles must remain on the paved bike path. 2 - On the crusher fine trail that winds in and out of the park around the mesa top above Boca Negra.

The Munising Falls Trail within Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is closed until further notice. Approximately 75-feet of the paved trail was washed out April 28th from recent heavy rainfall and seasonal snow melt.

Pinnacles experiences extremely high visitation on weekends, holidays, and during favorable weather, especially in the spring. Expect long lines and delays between 10:00 am and 3:00 pm. If you're planning to hike the High Peaks, Condor Gulch, Balconies, or Moses Spring Trail, it’s recommended to arrive before 8:00 am (parking may fill earlier). Additionally, campground access may be temporarily delayed during peak periods of visitation when ALL incoming traffic is held.

On Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day the visitor center will be closed (trails will remain open with access to restrooms on the north side of the building).

The prescribed burn for May 11 has concluded and the Circle Trail is now open to visitors.

The National Park Service is imposing a temporary closure of Farmington Landing. Point Reyes National Seashore has temporarily closed North Beach after a fishing vessel ran aground early on Friday, August 21st. No injuries or fuel leaks have been reported, and the National Park Service is coordinating with the U.S. Coast Guard, NOAA and Marin County Fire as the Coast Guard works to secure a contractor to remove fuel from the vessel. Visitors are asked to stay clear of North Beach while the closure remains in effect to allow first responders to work safely and without interference.

Veterans Park in Leesburg, Virginia, is closed for park improvements. All trails in the park are closed into late summer 2026.

Park grounds and visitor center are open, but you're encouraged to call the visitor center at 318-926-5492 for the latest information and COVID-19 precautions before you visit.

Annual and lifetime passes are not currently available for purchase at Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park. As an alternative, you can purchase an annual pass online.

Phone service at Puʻukoholā Heiau National Historic Site is currently unavailable. If you need to contact the park, please email us at [email protected] and a staff member will respond as soon as possible. We appreciate your patience while service is being restored.

As of November 13, 2025, the new hours of operation at Puʻukoholā Heiau National Historic Site are 8:30am –4:30pm. The parking lot gate will close at 4:00pm.

At current lake levels, Rainbow Bridge docks do not reach the land. Dock-to-trail access to Rainbow Bridge will not be available until water levels rise again. Restrooms at the dock will remain open. This alert will stay up until the situation changes. Check the link for current lake information.

44 creek bridge is closed due to damage identified by a Federal Highway inspection team. This bridge is north of 44 Camp, approximately 7 miles south of the Redwood Creek trailhead and about 1 mile north of the Tall Trees river crossing. All trails remain open in the area, but crossing this ravine is dangerous and not advised. Hikers should plan to take alternative routes to 44 Camp, which will add at least 3.5 miles from Redwood Creek Trailhead. Stop by a visitor center for more information.

Out of an abundance of caution, Fort Totten Park will remain closed east of Fort Totten Drive, south of Gallatin Street/Metropolitan Branch Trail and north of Brookland Ave NE/Farragut St. due to the investigation involving two WWI-era munitions found.

The Nature Center and Planetarium building is closed until further notice due to continued remediation. Check the park's calendar for changes to ranger programs and locations.
